SAI launched Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model in Chhattisgarh. It is collaborating with Forest Department, Chhattisgarh and 'National Food Security Mission' of India government for its agro-forestry model. A kick-off meeting was conducted on 7th January at Raipur. Initially, five tribal dominated districts are selected for piloting & stabilizing the model in 1000 acres, which will be expanded to 10,000 acres annually covering all districts in subsequent years. SAI targets 8000 small tribal farmers annually to bring them out of poverty.
